Watch the clip the data chose
Two hundred swing clips and no ranking produces a predictable outcome: you work on whatever looks worst on camera. That is almost never what is costing you the most strokes.
An ugly takeaway that produces a repeatable eight-yard draw costs you close to nothing. A tidy-looking swing with a seventeen-yard hole underneath it in the bag costs you several shots a round.
AVA ranks the findings by cost first, then hands you the clip attached to the shots behind the top finding. Video as evidence, not as a search problem.
The strike-decay curve nobody wants
Look at the strike chart in the sample session. The first sixty balls are good, then smash factor falls off a cliff. Everything after that point rehearses a swing you do not own and drags down the averages you are about to write in a notebook.
This is the most common finding in launch monitor data and the least popular, because the fix is to hit fewer balls. Two sets of sixty beat one set of a hundred and forty, reliably.
AVA finds your break point rather than assuming a number, because endurance is individual. Knowing yours changes how you plan a session and stops you paying for practice that makes you worse.
Great numbers at home, unchanged scores on the course
A KIT in a garage produces plenty of data and no scorecard. That is why home practice so often feels productive and shows up nowhere in a handicap.
The bridge is context. Session data sets your gapping and your strike baseline; your tracked rounds decide which of those gaps actually appears when it counts.
When the numbers are excellent at home and the scores have not moved, the answer is almost never the full swing. It is decision-making, short game, or a bag that does not cover its distances, and all three are cheaper to fix than a rebuild.
KIT questions, answered
Does AVA need the swing video?
No. The analysis runs entirely on shot data. Video is used by the swing analyzer once the numbers have decided which swing is worth looking at.
Can I use the KIT indoors into a net?
Yes for strike work: club speed, ball speed and smash factor hold up. Carry is more heavily modelled indoors, so AVA reads a net session as a strike session and takes yardages from outdoor and on-course data.
Does the ball I practise with matter?
For spin, yes. Range and foam balls do not behave like a premium ball, so AVA weighs spin-dependent conclusions from those sessions accordingly.
What if the KIT is feeding a Full Swing simulator?
Then you have both a round and a session for the same golf. Export both if you can: the sim carries the score and hole context, the KIT carries the strike.
Does AVA change anything in the Full Swing app?
