Trackman iO AVA Golf

You track with a Trackman iO.
Now change your game.

An indoor bay is the cleanest read you will get on strike and delivery, and those numbers already hold the answer. AVA reads the same session, uses it for exactly that, and takes your yardages from where yardages actually come from.

One Trackman iO session in. Your gapping cost you more than your strike did. A 6-yard hole between the 7 and 8-iron leaves 17 yards below it that nothing covers.

Bring your Trackman sessions in

No account needed. Export a session report from Trackman, drop the CSV here with your email address, and AVA reads every shot in it — carry, dispersion, strike quality, gapping and club delivery — then emails you the analysis, scored the same way as your on-course rounds.

Drop your Trackman export here A CSV session report from the Trackman app or the web portal. The short 21-column export and the full 30-plus-column one both read, and so does a French-locale export in km/h and metres. .csv only, up to 5 MB.

Emailing you the report creates a contact record for your address, and we may send you product email. Unsubscribe any time. Privacy policy Your file is read once, then deleted from storage within 30 days, along with the report link it produced. What a bay is genuinely best at

Strike and delivery. Nothing varies: same lie, same ball, same light, no wind to read and no slope to stand on. Every source of noise that muddies an outdoor comparison is held still.

That makes an indoor session the right place to answer 'is my strike improving?' and 'is my miss a face pattern or a path pattern?': questions that need repeatability more than they need distance.

It is also the right place to find strike decay. In a bay the balls are unlimited, which is exactly why the sixty-ball cliff in the sample session matters more indoors than out.

The one number to hold loosely

Carry. Radar infers less the more flight it sees, and a bay gives it a few feet. Trackman's indoor engineering is very good and it is still solving a harder problem than the same unit outdoors.

So AVA does something specific with it: an indoor carry sets an upper bound and a relative comparison (this club versus that club, this month versus last) while the yardages you actually play to come from outdoor sessions and tracked rounds.

That distinction is not pedantry. A gapping ladder built on indoor numbers and played on a course is how a golfer ends up eight feet short of every pin all summer.

A winter indoors, checked in April

The real test of a bay winter is not the numbers in March. It is the scorecard in April, and that is a comparison almost nobody sets up in advance.

AVA holds sessions and rounds on one timeline for exactly this. If strike quality is genuinely up and scoring has not moved, the finding is not in your full swing: it is in decisions, short game, or a bag that does not cover its distances.

That is a far more useful conclusion than another winter of delivery work, and it is only available if the indoor and outdoor data live in the same place.

Trackman iO questions, answered

Is indoor Trackman data worse than outdoor?

Not worse, different. Strike and delivery are arguably better indoors because nothing varies. Carry is more heavily modelled because the unit sees less flight, so AVA treats indoor carry as a ceiling and sources yardages from outdoor and on-course data.

Can I compare iO sessions to outdoor Trackman 4 sessions?

Yes. Shared parameters line up, and AVA keeps them as separate contexts rather than averaging them, which is what stops an indoor carry quietly overwriting a course yardage.

Should I tag clubs during the session?

It is worth the thirty seconds. Club-tagged blocks let AVA score dispersion per club instead of as one blended pattern, which makes the findings a lot more specific.

How long should a bay session be?

Shorter than you think. In the sample session smash factor falls off after sixty balls: everything past that rehearses a swing you don't own. AVA finds your own break point rather than assuming a number.

Does AVA change anything in my Trackman account?

No. AVA reads the file you export and never writes back.
