You track with a Rapsodo.
Now change your game.
Your Rapsodo numbers already hold the answer — the MLM2PRO measures more than you can act on in one session. AVA reads all of it and hands you back the two or three things worth your next bucket of balls, and how to fix them.
FREE · NO CARD · NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
One Rapsodo session in. Your gapping cost you more than your strike did. A 6-yard hole between the 7 and 8-iron leaves 17 yards below it that nothing covers.
Range session
Only 38% of your 7-irons land within 5 yards of your average.
FIX › Club up off the short misses. Your number is the strike you rarely hit, not the one you average.
Two clubs cover the same 6 yards, so 17 yards below has no club at all.
FIX › Get the 8-iron loft checked before you change the swing. Two degrees puts a club back in that hole.
4 YDS LEFT · 6 SHORT
The miss is the same shape every club: four yards left.
FIX › Aim at the right edge and commit. Setup, not swing. Worth about a stroke a round.
Your first 60 balls are the good ones. It falls off a cliff after that.
FIX › Same total balls, shorter sessions. Two sets of 60 beats one set of 140.
Bring your Rapsodo sessions in
No account needed. Export a session from the Rapsodo app, drop the CSV here with your email address, and AVA reads every shot — carry, dispersion, strike quality and gapping — then emails you the analysis, scored the same way as your on-course rounds.
That's one session. AVA reads your whole game.
Range work and course rounds in one timeline, trends over time, a progression that adapts as you improve, and a coach view when you want one.

Turn your Rapsodo sessions into lower scores
A portable monitor generates a lot of half-sessions
The great advantage of a Rapsodo is that it comes with you: forty balls before work, a bucket after the office, ten minutes in the net at home. The great problem is that none of those look like a session on their own.
Forty shots is not enough to conclude anything about a swing change. Twenty sessions of forty shots absolutely is, and that is a completely different question, one you can only ask if something is keeping the history.
AVA treats your session history as one continuous data set rather than a stack of unrelated visits. That is what turns a habit of short, frequent practice from a nice routine into a measurable one.
Spin, marked balls, and what to trust
Spin is the hardest number for any consumer monitor to measure and the easiest to get wrong. The MLM2PRO's marked-ball approach exists precisely because measured spin and estimated spin are not the same thing.
It matters for exactly one reason: spin drives descent angle, and descent angle decides whether a green holds your approach. If your spin numbers are estimated, conclusions about holding greens are soft, and AVA says so rather than presenting them with false confidence.
Practical version: use marked balls when you care about spin, and don't rebuild a wedge game around spin numbers from a foam ball in a garage net.
Range mats, real turf, and the number you play to
Most Rapsodo data comes off a range mat, and mats are forgiving in a specific way: they let a slightly fat strike slide into the ball instead of digging. Carry numbers off a mat therefore tend to sit a touch above what the same swing produces off turf.
This is not a reason to distrust the data. It is a reason to treat your session carry as a ceiling and your course carry as the truth, which is exactly how AVA handles it: sessions set the gapping ladder, rounds decide which gaps actually cost you.
The habit worth building is simple. Pick your yardage from the reliable end of your distribution rather than the middle of it, and let the data tell you where that line sits instead of guessing.
Rapsodo questions, answered
Does the original MLM work, or do I need the MLM2PRO?
The MLM2PRO export is the one AVA reads today, and it reports a fuller set of numbers anyway, including measured spin off marked balls. An original MLM file may not parse yet; drop it in and you will get an email either way.
Does AVA change anything in my Rapsodo account?
No. AVA reads the file you give it and never writes back. Your sessions, videos and Rapsodo account stay exactly as they are.
Are forty-shot sessions worth uploading?
Yes. That is the point. A single short session proves little, but a few months of them is a genuinely strong data set, and AVA reads your history as one continuous picture rather than as isolated visits.
Does the ball I hit matter?
For spin, yes. Marked balls give measured spin; foam and range balls do not behave like a premium ball. AVA weighs spin from a session accordingly instead of treating every ball as equivalent.
Will range numbers distort my on-course data?
No. Practice and play are scored separately and then compared, because the gap between them is one of the most useful things in your profile. A mat carry never silently overwrites a course yardage.
What if I also use a sim or a tracker?
That is the normal case and the point of AVA. A Rapsodo in the garage, a sim in winter and tracked rounds in summer merge into one profile instead of living in three apps.
Who sees my Rapsodo data?
You do. Nothing is shared with a coach, a club or anyone else unless you send them a link, and you can export or delete everything whenever you want.
