Your Mevo+ reports more parameters than one session can put to use, and they already hold the answer. AVA reads the same session, prices each one in strokes, and hands back the order to work in.

AVA INTELLIGENCE

One FlightScope Mevo+ session in. Your gapping cost you more than your strike did. A 6-yard hole between the 7 and 8-iron leaves 17 yards below it that nothing covers.

FLIGHTSCOPE MEVO+ + AVA GOLF

Turn your FlightScope Mevo+ sessions into lower scores

More parameters, same problem

A Mevo+ will hand you a dozen numbers on every swing and rank none of them. So golfers work on whichever one they already had a theory about, which is how a winter disappears into attack angle while a seventeen-yard hole in the bag goes unnoticed.

Both were in the file. Only one of them was on the scorecard.

AVA converts each finding into strokes against a scratch baseline, so gapping, dispersion, strike decay and delivery land on one comparable scale. The order that comes back is usually not the one you would have guessed, and it is the one worth practising.

Spin axis is the parameter to actually use

Of everything the + adds over a Mevo, spin axis is the one that changes decisions. It turns a vague 'I fade it' into a number that either repeats across your bag or doesn't.

If the same axis appears in every club, that is a setup and alignment pattern, and the answer is usually to aim at it and commit, worth about a stroke a round for the price of changing where you point.

If it varies club to club, that is a delivery problem and a genuine piece of swing work. Telling those two apart is the difference between a free stroke and a wasted winter, and it is what this unit buys you.

Indoors, trust the impact numbers

Radar measures flight. In a garage, flight ends in eight feet, so more of the carry figure becomes modelled while the impact-adjacent numbers (club speed, ball speed, smash factor) stay solid.

That makes an indoor Mevo+ an excellent strike-work tool and a mediocre gapping tool. Outdoors on a range, it is both.

AVA reads them differently on purpose: an indoor session sets your strike baseline, and your yardages come from outdoor sessions and tracked rounds. Blending the two would give you a gapping ladder you cannot actually play to.

Mevo+ questions, answered

What does the Mevo+ add over a Mevo?

Horizontal launch, spin axis, angle of attack and lateral landing. Those are the parameters that let AVA explain a miss (face pattern versus path pattern) rather than only measure its size.

Should I aim at specific attack-angle or path numbers?

No. Those are outputs of a swing, and targeting them directly tends to produce compensations. AVA reads them as evidence, prices the resulting miss in strokes, and prescribes work against the finding.

Is the extra data worth it indoors?

For strike and delivery work, yes. For gapping, an indoor radar session is weaker than an outdoor one because carry is more heavily modelled into a net, so AVA sets yardages from outdoor and on-course data.

Do I still need the stickers?

For measured rather than estimated spin, yes. Spin drives descent angle, and descent angle decides whether a green holds your approach.

Can I mix Mevo+ and X3 sessions?

Yes. Shared parameters line up, and AVA keeps them as separate sessions rather than averaging them, so the trend stays honest.
