Foresight measurement, a Bushnell badge, and one thing worth knowing
The Launch Pro is built by Foresight and reports through FSX, which is why its numbers behave like a GC3's rather than like a radar unit's. Cameras read the ball at impact instead of watching it fly, so the reading holds up in a garage with eight feet of ceiling.
The part worth knowing before you read anything else on this page: what lands in your export depends on your subscription tier. Ball data is always there. Club delivery and impact location are a paid unlock, and if your plan does not include them, they are simply absent from the file.
AVA reads what your file holds and says plainly what it does not, rather than modelling the missing half and presenting the result as measurement. That is the whole reason this page has a three-column table on it.
The findings that work on every tier

Carry consistency is ball-side too. The number worth playing is not your average carry, it is the carry you produce on a mediocre strike, and the gap between those two is where approach shots finish short.
Dispersion is the third. If the pattern sits four yards left with every club in the bag, that is a setup problem you can fix in an evening, and it is worth about a stroke a round.
What the club-data unlock actually changes
With club delivery in the file, a short carry stops being a mystery. Path, face and attack angle turn "you lost eight yards" into "you struck it thin from an out-to-in path", which is a different practice session entirely.
Impact location is the one most golfers underrate. A toe strike costs carry and looks exactly like a swing that has lost speed, and only a camera unit can tell the two apart.
Neither is required to get a useful read out of a Launch Pro. Both change how specific the read can be, which is worth knowing before you decide whether the unlock is worth it to you.

Is the Launch Pro the same as a Foresight unit?
It is built by Foresight and reports through FSX, so the export path and the analysis are the Foresight family's. It gets its own page here because golfers search for the name on the box, not the name of the factory.
How do I get a session into AVA?
Export it from FSX 2020 or FSX Pro and hand the file over in the first step of onboarding. There is no separate setup and nothing to configure.
My plan does not include club data. Is this still worth it?
Yes, and the page is not going to pretend the two are equivalent. Gapping, carry consistency and dispersion are all ball-side findings that work on every tier, and they are where most amateur strokes go. What you lose is the ability to name the cause behind a bad strike.
Will AVA estimate the club numbers my file is missing?
No. Where a parameter is absent, the finding stops at the pattern and says so. A modelled attack angle presented as a measured one is worse than no attack angle at all.
Does AVA change anything in FSX?
No. AVA reads what you upload and never writes back. Your sessions, your bag and your history in FSX stay exactly as they are.
Can I use it alongside my on-course rounds?
That is the point of it. Launch Pro sessions and course rounds sit on one timeline, scored the same way, which is the only way to tell whether what you practised in the garage showed up on Saturday.
