AVA Golf, Inc. (“AVA Golf™,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making golf improvement available to every golfer, including golfers with disabilities. We are working to make our website, web application, and mobile applications conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project.

Need help, or found a barrier? Email support@avagolf.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line and we will respond within five business days.

1. Scope of This Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to:

  • The AVA Golf™ marketing website at avagolf.com
  • The AVA Golf™ web application at app.avagolf.com
  • AVA Golf™ mobile applications for iOS and Android
  • Documentation and support content published at docs.avagolf.com
  • Email communications we send to waitlist members, subscribers, and customers

It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that we link to or integrate with. See Section 6.

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG 2.1 defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

AVA Golf™ is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively remediating the gaps we know about, and we describe the significant ones in Section 5.

We have not yet completed a third-party audit or published a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). If you require a VPAT or an accessibility conformance report for a procurement or institutional review, contact support@avagolf.com and we will tell you where we are in that process.

3. Measures We Take

To support accessibility, AVA Golf™:

  • Treats accessibility as a requirement in design and engineering reviews rather than a post-launch fix
  • Builds interfaces from semantic HTML, with ARIA used only where native semantics are insufficient
  • Tests keyboard-only navigation on primary user journeys, including the waitlist form, navigation, and account flows
  • Checks text and interface colour contrast against WCAG 2.1 Level AA thresholds during design
  • Respects operating-system and browser preferences, including reduced motion and text sizing
  • Reviews accessibility when we introduce new features, data integrations, or third-party components
  • Includes accessibility feedback from users in our product backlog and prioritises barriers that block core tasks

4. Accessibility Features

Across the AVA Golf™ website and applications, we aim to provide:

  • Keyboard access. All interactive controls are reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Screen reader support. Headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels are marked up so assistive technology can convey page structure.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from the accessibility tree.
  • Readable contrast. Body text, headings, and interface controls are designed to meet Level AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
  • Resizable text. Content reflows without loss of information when text is enlarged up to 200% or the viewport is narrowed.
  • Reduced motion. Animation and parallax effects are reduced or removed when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Form guidance. Form fields carry persistent labels, and errors and confirmations are announced to assistive technology.
  • Data alternatives. Where we present golf performance data visually, we work to make the same information available as text or in a tabular form.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. Below is a list of known issues, along with what we are doing about them. If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us.

  • Charts and performance visualisations. Some interactive charts in the web application do not yet expose a complete text or table equivalent, and some rely on colour to distinguish series. We are adding text equivalents and non-colour differentiation.
  • Third-party embedded video. Video hosted on third-party platforms is subject to that platform’s player accessibility, and captions depend on the source content. See Section 6.
  • User-generated and coach-supplied content. Content uploaded by coaches or other users, including images and video, may lack captions or alternative text. We provide fields for this information but cannot guarantee that contributors complete them.
  • Legacy documents. Some older PDFs and downloadable materials are not fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative on request under Section 12.
  • Mobile applications. Our iOS and Android applications are earlier in their accessibility review than the website, and coverage of platform accessibility APIs is not yet complete.

6. Third-Party Content and Integrations

The AVA Golf™ Services incorporate content and functionality from third parties, including data partners such as Garmin, Arccos, and the USGA, as well as embedded video, analytics, and support tooling.

We do not control the accessibility of third-party content, and we cannot guarantee that it conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Where a third-party component creates a barrier to a core task, we will look for an accessible alternative, raise the issue with the provider, or offer another way to complete the task. If a third-party integration is preventing you from using AVA Golf™, contact us and we will help you find a workaround.

7. Compatibility with Assistive Technology

AVA Golf™ is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following, used with a current browser:

  • Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), NVDA and JAWS (Windows), TalkBack (Android)
  • Magnification: Operating-system zoom, browser zoom, and screen magnifiers
  • Input: Keyboard-only navigation, switch access, and speech recognition software

We support the current and previous major versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox. Accessibility on unsupported browsers, or on browsers with JavaScript disabled, may be degraded.

8. Technical Specifications

Accessibility of AVA Golf™ relies on the following technologies working with your browser and any assistive technology you use:

  • HTML
  • WAI-ARIA
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards described in Section 2.

9. Assessment Approach

AVA Golf™ assesses the accessibility of its Services through:

  • Internal review. Design and code review against WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria before release.
  • Automated testing. Automated accessibility checks run against the website and web application.
  • Manual testing. Keyboard-only and screen reader testing of primary user journeys.
  • User feedback. Reports received through the channels described in Section 10.

We have not yet commissioned an external accessibility evaluation. When we do, we will update this statement with the date, the evaluator, and the scope of the assessment.

10. Feedback and Requests for Assistance

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of AVA Golf™. If you encounter a barrier, need help completing a task, or want to request content in an alternative format, please contact us:

Email: support@avagolf.com — please include “Accessibility” in the subject line
Mail: AVA Golf, Inc., Attn: Accessibility, 169 Madison Ave #2003, New York, NY 10016

To help us respond quickly, please tell us where possible:

  • The web address, screen, or feature where you encountered the problem
  • What you were trying to do
  • The browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you were using
  • A description of the problem, including any error messages

Response time. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days. Where a fix requires engineering work, we will tell you what we intend to do and give you a realistic timeframe, and we will offer an alternative way to complete the task in the meantime where one is available.

11. Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter in writing to AVA Golf, Inc., Attn: Legal, 169 Madison Ave #2003, New York, NY 10016, or by email to support@avagolf.com.

We will review escalated complaints and respond in writing. Nothing in this statement limits any rights you may have under applicable law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, or comparable legislation in your jurisdiction.

12. Alternative Formats

If any AVA Golf™ content is not accessible to you, we will work to provide the same information in an alternative format at no cost to you. This may include plain-text or tagged versions of documents, a text or tabular equivalent of a chart, or assistance from a member of our team in completing a task.

Requests for alternative formats should be sent to support@avagolf.com.
